Fulham striker Aleksandar Mitrovic admitted mixed emotions after their 2-2 draw with Bournemouth.
Mitrovic struck on his return from injury.
He said, “Of course we’re disappointed. The main target at home is three points, no matter who we play. We conceded sloppy goals and I think that cost us the game. In the end we managed to get the draw. We move on – we have another big game in the next few days.
“I don’t know [why we improved in the second half]. We need to take a bit more of a risk. They dropped deeper and didn’t try to play as much. I think one point today is a fair result. They were better in the first half, but we were better in the second half.
“Are we happy? No. But we take the point and move on. “I’ve been in a lot of pain. Pain killers helped a lot. I still haven’t completely recovered but managed to get the goal today. I had one or two chances where I could have done better, but that’s football.”
On being man marked, he added: “Sometimes I’m not even tired of running, I’m tired of wrestling with defenders. It takes a lot of energy and I’m really exhausted now. Maybe I need a little wrestling session as well. If you’re a big strong guy like I am, they try to stop you. The penalty today was a soft one, but I think it was a penalty.”
