Lazio great Paolo di Canio has blasted Jose Mourinho over his management of Roma’s players.
Di Canio was unimpressed by Mourinho’s post-match attack on Roma’s players after the Coppa Italia quarterfinal defeat to Inter Milan.
“Mourinho hit the dressing room, like all those fans who criticise players who earn millions,” Di Canio told Sky Italia.
“He has fuelled this aspect. He did the same at Tottenham, he blamed the players, but fans over there didn’t buy it. He was one point off Liverpool, then he lost the game against the Reds and collapsed in the following eight matches. Once again, he started to talk about players and referees. Not with this intensity, but the fans told him goodbye.
“The most ardent part of Roma fans still defend Mourinho, but a player has fear in Rome and has fear to talk about it with the coach.
“Roma and Lazio players feel like Brad Pitt when things to well as the radios in the capital always talk about them. However, they are afraid when they lose and live in fear of doing anything.”
