Former Leeds defender Jonathan Woodgate says they need to start putting results together.
Woodgate believes if they are not careful, they could be involved in another relegation scrap if they don’t begin to start picking up results soon.
“This season I think they need to start really kicking on,” Woodgate told BBC Radio 5Live.
“They lost Phillips in the summer, Bamford hasn’t been fit all season, Rodrigo stepped up and then he gets injured. There seems to be a lot of changes happening in the team at the minute.
“When you go to Elland Road, the atmosphere at that football club is magnificent. It’s difficult to go there and you can see why they’re unbeaten at home this season because the fans are on top of you.
“For me, they need to start climbing that table. You don’t want to see Leeds in a relegation battle this season, but if they don’t keep on improving, then they might find themselves down there.
“I just think they’ve got that belief in the football club that they should be doing better. With that money from [the sales of] Raphinha and [Phillips], they’ve brought some good players in to strengthen the core of the team.
“For me, Leeds are a club who should be in the top 10, they should be fighting for European places, and I think a lot of the fans would share that belief.”
