Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha has reportedly been offered a new four-year contract worth over £10m per season to stay at the club, whilst Paris Saint-Germain and Marseille express interest in him. This is according to The Guardian.
However, the Ivory Coast international is said to be seeking assurances from the club about its ambition to qualify for European competition before signing the new contract.
Zaha, who has made more than 400 appearances for Palace, is out of contract in the summer and is expected to reject a £9m-a-year offer from Saudi Arabia’s Al-Ittihad. Arsenal and PSG have previously expressed interest in signing him.
The 29-year-old forward has been offered a contract worth about £200,000 a week, which would make him the highest-paid player in Palace’s history.
Although Palace’s deal is said to be far the most lucrative on the table, Zaha reportedly wants the club to show more ambition and target a place in Europe, especially after seeing rivals Brighton progress under Roberto De Zerbi and the success of Brentford and Fulham since being promoted to the Premier League.
In addition to Arsenal and Chelsea, Zaha has also been linked with Bayern Munich, Roma, and Marseille. Foot Mercato previously reported this month that Monaco were also interested in the player.
