Villarreal B coach Miguel Alvarez is seeking a strong end to the season.
Villarreal B meet Alcoyano on Sunday.
Alvarez said: “It’s a very important game for both teams. We want to stay at the top and they want to stay in the play-off places. Alcoyano are always a very difficult team and they have a very difficult ground to play at because of the atmosphere.”
“We are two different teams, each with their own style. They are very strong in direct play, second balls and set pieces. When we have visited El Collao in recent years we have shown a lot of character. We’ve remained faithful to our style and we’ve done well on this very difficult ground, so we have to stick to our style.
“The moment of truth has arrived. So far the boys have had a great season, we have secured safety and we are in the play-off places. It’s been a very good season, but if we want to make it even better we have to keep fighting. Every game is more complicated, but they are all good games to play.”
