Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel insists the club will look at bringing in new players during the January transfer window.
The Blues continue to be linked with the likes of Everton’s Lucas Digne and Barcelona full-back Sergino Dest. Chelsea will miss the services of Ben Chilwell who is out for the remainder of the season with a knee injury with also the club squad depleted due to the coronavirus outbreak.
On January plans
“We are discussing and we are in talks with the staff and the board and the scouts, checking the possibility [of new signings] which is what we would always do,” Tuchel said.
“We are looking into the market, into the possibility. We’re not under the very highest pressure and things have to make sense, personality-wise, position-wise and the quality has to be there. But we will check out options.”
On beating Spurs
“It seems like a deserved win, an excellent result because it reflects the game, we could have scored more but it is hard to score against Tottenham.”
“We did create a lot, some huge chances, it could have been possible to score more, the upside is everybody knows it is going to be a tough match, it is not decided yet.”
Chelsea will host Chesterfield today in the third round of the FA Cup.
