As reported by Bild, there was a secret meeting at Bayern Munich during the international break that saw those involved review the transfer window while ensuring a focus on squad planning and external representation. Present at the meeting was head coach Thomas Tuchel, Uli Hoeneß, Herbert Hainer, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge and Jan-Christian Dreesen.
During the meeting Tuchel was given a strict warning by the board members at Bayern. The head coach was told to be less emotional and negative about the club in public, as well as making certain to not upset his own players by his comments.
Rather than complaining about the club, Tuchel has to become more professional and focus on making Bayern the ruthless side they once were. When glancing through the history of Bayern managers, it is clear to see that those who have been successful – such as Jupp Heynckes – have always steered away from controversy in the media and concentrated on creating a dominant side.
After an indifferent start to life in charge at Bayern, Tuchel has been able to grow tension between himself and the members of the board rather than establish his own ideas onto the squad. Die Rekordmeister have been far from convincing on the pitch and despite starting the season unbeaten, a draw at home to Bayer Leverkusen on matchday four suggests that they are no longer the clear favourites for the Meisterschale.
