Tammy Abraham continued with his red-hot form as AS Roma thumped Lazio 3-0 in a Derby della Capitale clash played at the Stadio Olimpico.
Roma got off to a perfect start as Abraham scored with only two minutes on the clock to set them on the way to victory.
The Englishman was at the right place to score a rebound from close range after Lorenzo Pellegrini had hit the crossbar.
Pellegrin tested the goalkeeper again in the 10th minute with a wonderful low drive towards the left post, but the keeper dived low to keep the ball out.
The hosts continued dominating possession, and their efforts were rewarded in the 22nd minute with a second goal, a minute after Ciro Immobile had gone down inside the box and called for a penalty.
Rick Karsdorp played a lovely pass into the box and found Tammy Abraham, who coolly stroke home from close range for a comfortable 2-0 lead.
It almost became three just before the half-hour mark, only for Thomas Strakosha to pull off a great save to deny Nicola Zalewski after receiving a precise defence-splitting pass.
The effort was headed for the bottom right corner, but the goalkeeper dived superbly to stop it.
Pellegrin finally had his name on the scoring sheet with a sumptuous long-range freekick five minutes from half-time, giving the goalkeeper no chance.
The second half was less active compared to the first, with Roma happy to keep Lazio at arm’s length for long periods.
The visitors had no chance to get back in the game, as they left the Olimpico Stadium with neither a point, nor a goal to show.
