Sporting Lisboner Ruben Amorim has hit back at Pep Guardiola after the Spaniard complained over his Manchester City squad.
Guardiola claimed his squad is short with Ruben Dias, Nathan Ake, Joao Cancelo, and Kyle Walker all set to miss the game through illness, injury, and suspension.
The Citizens are already five goals up from the first leg and Amorim believes they are still going to be up against a great team no matter who they will field.
“We are up against a great team. They are missing players but they have more than enough to put out a great team. hey only need a few players. There are other players on the bench and looking at them, they could easily be first-team players.

“It will not make it easier. It is a small group but it is a group of huge quality. They are all first-team players. It doesn’t mean anyone can relax,” Amorim said ahead of their Wednesday duel.
With City five goals up, Guardiola is expected to make wholesome changes to his team on Wednesday as he seeks to have a fresh team when they take on Crystal Palace on the weekend.
