Serie A fans will be treated to another edition of the Turin derby before we head into the international break following Matchday 8.
Juventus will approach this match on the back of a goalless stalemate with fellow top-four contenders Atalanta. The match marked the Bianconeri’s second successive clean sheet following a 1-0 victory over Lecce on Matchday 6. Arkadiusz Milik was the hero that day versus the Salentini as his only goal stood as the difference between the two sides.
Manager Massimiliano Allegri has turned things around this season in Juventus as they are finding the net more often than last campaign. Dusan Vlahovic and Federico Chiesa have started the season fairly well in the goalscoring stats and the duo hopes to continue the momentum into the upcoming games.
The Bianconeri will aim to stretch their long dominance against Torino as they are unbeaten in the last 18 Turin derbies, winning 14 of them. A victory would see them leapfrog Napoli in the Serie A standings should the Partenopei draw or suffer a defeat against Fiorentina.
Meanwhile, Torino will head into this match with not much hope as they are the side that have been defeated the most by Juventus. However, stress on tactics aiming to salvage a point is expected tomorrow from manager Ivan Juric.
The Granata are winless in their last three matches in the Serie A but they did manage to get a 1-1 draw versus Roma in September. Following the draw with the Giallorossi, Torini fell to their cross-city rivals Lazio after Matias Vecino and Mattia Zaccagni helped the Biancocelesti grab a comfortable victory over tomorrow’s visitors.
