Sébastien Haller is ready to make his footballing comeback: “there are no limits.”

During an interview with Ruhr Nachrichten, Borussia Dortmund’s Sébastien Haller says he is ready and motivated to make his footballing comeback.

After completing his move from Ajax last summer, Haller was diagnosed with testicular cancer after falling ill at BVB’s training camp. Since then, it’s been a long road to recovery for the forward who has undergone several surgeries and rounds of chemotherapy.

This week, Haller could make his competitive comeback in a test match against Fortuna Düsseldorf. However, the decision will ultimately be in the hands of the coaching staff and doctors.

Haller is certainly in a good frame of mind and is ready to get going again. “If I can play, I will play. There’s nowhere I’d rather be than on the pitch,” explains the 28-year-old.

He continues: “It’s the best feeling you can have. The only thing I can do is focus on the next day and try to stay fit and healthy. I’ll do my best to return the trust that the club has placed in me.”

Dortmund restart their Bundesliga campaign against FC Augsburg on January 22nd. It may be too early for Haller to take a place in the matchday squad. However, it won’t be through the lack of trying. The Ivory Coast international is keen to make his full competitive return and help out his teammates.
