Inter are willing to make some big moves this summer, with the name of Gianluca Scamacca leading the chart of potential transfer targets.
As reported by Daniele Longo, Gianluca Scamacca wishes to play alongside Lautaro Martinez at Inter next season. Inter have reportedly been in contact with the Neroverdi management over a potential transfer for the young marksman for months.
But the Nerazzurri are unwilling to match Sassuolo’s asking price of €40million for the 23-year-old this summer. They have understandably categorised the price tag as too high.
Scamacca recently signed a contract extension with Sassuolo. According to the new terms, he will stay at the club until June 2026.
Therefore, the selling club is under no obligation to sell their key man in the summer. However, Inter believe that Scamacca’s wish to play for the current Scudetto holders could play a vital role in forging the fortune of this deal.
In his report, Longo also claims that Inter Sporting Director Piero Ausilio has had more than one contact with the player’s agent Alessandro Lucci over the last few days. Napoli remain another interested candidate in the race for the forward, but the player, as of now, prefers moving to Inter in the summer.
