Watford boss Roy Hodgson believes his side will survive relegation if they can replicate the kind of performance they did on Saturday against Liverpool.
The Hornets sat back for the better part of the game and had chances of their own but a goal from Diogo Jota and a penalty from Fabinho was all the Reds needed to pick all the points.
“We’ve now got to keep this consistency in our performances, which we have found. It’ll be the players’ performances on the field that will make the difference one way or the other.
“You don’t go to Liverpool or Manchester City and Chelsea all the time. Today’s performance against Liverpool gives me heart and the encouragement that we can perhaps ask these teams a few questions.

“Sometimes after you have done something well but haven’t got a result, you want the next game to be easier or not work so hard. We have to understand that what we did today and the way we played today, is our only chance of survival,” Hodgson said.
Next up for Watford in the Premier League is a tie against Leeds United.
