Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku is now set to talk to his club in an attempt bring forward his move to Inter.
La Gazzetta dello Sport today have reported about Lukaku’s future, claiming that the striker has been hooked to the phone since he picked up an injury on international duty and he is desperate to get the green light for the move to Inter.
Tomorrow or on Thursday, Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel will talk to Todd Boehly about the Blues’ plans in the transfer window. In the meeting, Tuchel will present his views about Lukaku and how he does not fit into his tactical setup. Through that, Boehly could verify the exit of the Belgian, so that he helps Tuchel build his own squad.
After that, Lukaku will head to London on a private jet and he will talk to Boehly directly. The main hinderance currently happens to be Marina Granovskaia, who will have to be convinced for the exit even though the ex-Man Utd man is willing to halve his salary to make a move possible.
Lukaku’s current entourage has diplomatic issues to solve too. Federico Pastorello still has to give a mandate for foreign moves but Sebastien Ledure currently manages the striker’s situation. The player would essentially need a double verification for the move and internal relations have been tense in the last few weeks.
