Tammy Abraham has thanked Roma for taking him on after hitting the winner against Atalanta.
Abraham says Roma has rescued his career.
“There was a low time in my career, Roma lifted me up and gave me that confidence,” said the former Chelsea striker.
“You can see what it means to us, the fans supported us from the first whistle to the last.
“You can see the way we celebrated and we can’t describe this feeling, it’s the best when we do it as a team and these are three important points.”
“We are learning more and more about each other every day. A couple of months ago, we might’ve conceded in the last minute, but today we worked together as a team and fought to the end.
“Now we can enjoy it, go have a drink and celebrate with the fans.”
Abraham kissed the jersey after his goal and was saluting the supporters throughout the post-match interview.
“Like I said, I give this club my all. There was a low time in my career, Roma lifted me up and gave me that confidence. I enjoy it every time I step on this pitch, you can hear the fans from minute one and I’d do anything for this club.
“The fans love me and I love them. I love them.”
