Atalanta BC are allegedly interested in signing Arsenal left-back Nuno Tavares.
The 22-year-old moved to the Emirates last summer to provide competition and support for Kieran Tierney, who was out for most of the previous season due to injury.
As a result, Tavares was catapulted into the Arsenal first team, making a total of 28 appearances in all competitions for the Gunners, scoring one goal and setting up two more.
Atalanta are interested in signing Tavares, according to Italian reporter Gianluca Di Marzio. Tavares would join on a one-year loan with no option or obligation to buy.

Arsenal will drive a hard bargain if Atalanta seek a permanent deal for the defender, according to Di Marzio, with the Gunners refusing to accept anything less than €40 million (£34.3 million).
Marseille are also said to be interested in Tavares, regardless of the fact that the French club has recently acquired a number of North London players, including Sead Kolasinac, William Saliba, and Matteo Guendouzi.
Mikel Arteta started the left-back in 13 Premier League games, however, he was pulled out early on many occasions, most notably against Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup.
