Kylian Mbappe is now RETHINKING quitting PSG this summer – and is even open to signing a new TWO-YEAR contract.
With his deal to expire in June, Mbappe was expected to join Real Madrid, with his mother last week even being quoted in the Spanish press that the move will happen.
However, Sport says Mbappe is now rethinking his position and could well seek to discuss new terms with PSG.
The striker still wants to play for Real Madrid, but is open to staying one more season in Paris.
And although his intention is to stay for one more year, the renewal could run until 2024 so that PSG will be able to generate a fee for him in 2023.
Mbappe is playing the best football of his career this season and he is enjoying playing alongside Leo Messi.
After scoring his 156th goal for PSG in victory over St Etienne on the weekend, he said: “Only (Edinson) Cavani remains for me to be the top scorer in the history of PSG. We’ll see what happens. Being the top scorer for this club is something that cannot be ignored.”
Cavani is PSG’s leading goalscorer with 200 goals.
