A video of Eduardo Camavinga delivering a strong message of support to Ukraine has gone viral and it’s truly heartwarming.
France drew 3-3 with Ukraine in an under-21 European Championship qualifier on Thursday night.
It was meant to be a home fixture for Ukraine, but the game was played at the Necmi̇ Kadioğlu Sports Complex in Istanbul due to the ongoing war with Russia.
It’s a topic that hasn’t been far from people’s mind since the invasion first began in late February, and it seems things were no different on the night with France kindly offering a gift to the young Ukrainian team.
Video: A moment of solidarity
After full-time, when both teams had shook hands and returned to their changing rooms, Camavinga made his way into home dressing room and offered the players the French team’s shirts.
He then continued to deliver a few supportive words in a show of solidarity with the nation.
“This is the shirts for all of you because I know, we know, that the situation is very complicated. This is a present for all of you,” said Camavinga.
“The bad situation, I hope and all persons in Europe hope that the situation will be better.”
The Ukrainian players and staff broke out into applause upon the conclusion of his speech to round off a truly heartwarming moment in style.
Camavinga went into the Ukraine dressing room and gifted the whole Ukraine team France’s shirts from the game.
“We know there’s currently a bad situation and this is for all the team.”

You love to see it.
Camavinga’s meteoric rise in European football
It’s been a season to remember for the Frenchman, who has shot to stardom thanks to his incredible performances for Real Madrid in the latter stages of the Champions League.
He’s been learning from the best in Luka Modric, Toni Kroos and Casemiro since his £27.9 million switch last summer and one would think it’s just a matter of time before he’s a staple in the France first team.
Aged 19, it’s clear he’s a leader amongst the under-21’s already, and that he remains grounded despite all the media attention that has recently surrounded him.
Fair play to the young lad, if he can continue on the same trajectory he’ll be a leading Real Madrid player in no time.
And even better, he’s clearly a great person.
