Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti was delighted with their 3-0 win against Real Mallorca.
Vinicius Junior and a double from Karim Benzema saw Real enjoy a comfortable night on Monday.
Ancelotti said: “Nothing has changed. We’ve got an advantage and that’s positive at this stage of the season. We have to make sure we head into the international break in good shape. I think the team is looking good fitness-wise. We did really well in the second half and nothing has changed. The only thing that we have to focus on is winning on Sunday and that’s all there is to it.
“We’ll have to assess the injuries in a few days’ time. It doesn’t look like they’re serious ones, but we’ll have to assess them. It looks like Rodrygo just picked up a knock that left him in a lot of pain, and Ferland has a muscle overload in his abductor and Karim didn’t feel very comfortable after he jumped for the ball. We’ll have to wait and see on Wednesday whether or not they’ll be fit for Sunday’s game.”
Real are now ten points clear at the top of the table, but Ancelotti added: “Look, I could say to you, how is it possible to lose a Champions League final when you’re 3-0 up, and that’s happened to me. Hopefully it doesn’t happen to me again.”
