Manchester United interim head coach Ralf Rangnick has stated that the club’s first-team squad would undergo ‘significant changes’ this summer.
At the end of June, Paul Pogba, Nemanja Matic, Jesse Lingard, Edinson Cavani, Juan Mata, and Lee Grant are all expected to leave Old Trafford on free transfers.
Meanwhile, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Eric Bailly, Phil Jones, Alex Telles, Anthony Martial, and Marcus Rashford’s futures are now in doubt.

Erik ten Hag, the club’s new head coach, is likely to be supported with a huge transfer kitty, and Rangnick has stated that the team would undergo a “rebuild” following their troubles this season.
“I mean, it’s obvious there are quite a few players with their contracts expiring. There might be a few others who – although they have contracts – they are already on loan and still want to be on loan or leave the club,” Rangnick told reporters.
“It will be a significant change and rebuild necessary, that’s clear, but how many players and which positions, as I’ve said, I’ve not spoken to Erik in person yet. If he asks me my opinion in person, I’m willing to speak to him about my experience, but on the other hand, he’ll also have his own ideas.”
Rangnick, who is currently preparing his team for Saturday’s Premier League match against Arsenal, reportedly stated that as many as ten new players might join United this summer.
