Paris Saint Germain director Leonardo has refuted claims that the club is thinking of sending Mauricio Pochettino home.
There had been reports that PSG want to hire Zinedine Zidane as their next manager as speculations grow around the future of the Argentine who has strongly been linked with a move to Manchester United.
In an interview with L’Equipe via FabrizioRomano, Leonardo said: “We’ve never thought about changing our manager. We’ve never contacted Zidane or anyone
“I can’t say that Mauricio Pochettino has never asked to leave. I have no problem with him. We talk about everything.”
Pochettino is believed to be interested in returning to the Premier League after stints with Southampton and Tottenham Hotspur. He took the latter from being top four hopefuls to a Champions League final, and they came close to winning the Premier League too.
But the Man United positions attracting other names too with former boss Alex Ferguson said to have given a recommendation for Carlo Ancelotti should the Argentine snub the opportunity to come to Old Trafford.
Ajax coach Erik ten Hag is said to be taking his English lessons amid claims he is also in the running for the United job. It is understood that the Dutchman’s heart is set on managing the Red Devils.
