Urs Fischer will be hoping that his side can bounce back from their last-minute heartbreak against Braga as Union Berlin travel to face Borussia Dortmund at the Signal Iduna Park tomorrow.
Union Berlin have lost their last six games in all competitions and currently sit in 11th place in the Bundesliga table with just six points.
Borussia Dortmund are currently unbeaten in the Bundesliga this season and sit in 4th place as Edin Terzić’s side now have the chance to make it four wins in the last four league matches.
With Union Berlin struggling this season and only picking up six points so far, they come into this fixture at the wrong time as Borussia Dortmund are currently unbeaten at home for the past 25 games in all competitions. The last time Terzić’s side lost at home was all the way back in August 2022.
Additionally, Dortmund have a very positive record against Berlin as they have won the last four out of five matches.
Fischer will be without defender Robin Knoche for the game as he is currently suffering with a leg injury and has missed the previous three matches, and will be out for at least another two weeks.
Long term injuries also include Andras Schafer, Laurenz Dehl, and Rani Khedira.
Whilst Schafer and Dehl continue on the sidelines, Khedira is expected to return to training next week.
Dortmund will continue to be without Marcel Sabitzer who will miss another two weeks with a groin injury.
Additionally, Mateu Morey is suffering from a knee injury and Thomas Meunier is still yet to make an appearance this season due to a muscle injury.
A result for Union Berlin here would be massive however Borussia Dortmund will be the clear favourites here, especially with their impressive home form.
