In what is always an enticing game of football
Juventus and Fiorentina don’t like each other and they always throw up exciting matches. Something similar to that could be expected in their clash on Sunday.
While the Bianconeri are not in the best of forms, they did pick up an important win over Salernitana recently and rose above La Viola in the table and a win on Sunday could bring about a bigger gulf between the two sides.
Vincenzo Italiano’s side miight be stylistically different to Max Allegri’s side, but their form has not been spectacular either. They have not won even once in their last four games in Serie A, even though they have progressed to the semi-finals of the Coppa Italia.
Both the sides have taken on each other once already and Fiorentina managed to hold the Bianconeri to a 1-1 draw, as Christian Kouame’s goal cancelled out Arkadiusz Milik’s early strike.
Allegri has already hinted that a front three of Dusan Vlahovic, Federico Chiesa and Angel di Maria could feature and Sky Italia predict them to start. But they expect Allegri to use Di Maria and Chiesa as 10s behind Vlahovic. Adrien Rabiot and Manuel Locatelli are expected to start in midfield, flanked by Mattia de Sciglio and Filip Kostic.
La Viola are expected to stick to their usual 4-3-3 shape and start with the backline of Dodo, Nikola Milenkovic, Martinez Quarta and Cristiano Biraghi. With Antonin Barak not expected to start, Sofyan Amrabat, Alfred Duncan and Giacomo Bonaventura are set to feature in midfield.
Juventus expected line-up: Szczesny; Danilo, Bremer, Alex Sandro; De Sciglio, Locatelli, Rabiot, Kostic; Chiesa, Di Maria; Vlahovic
Fiorentina expected line-ups: Terracciano; Dodo, Milenkovic, Martinez Quarta, Biraghi; Amrabat, Bonaventura, Duncan, Gonzalez, Jovic, Kouame
