Bayern Munich travel to Copenhagen for matchday two of the Champions League, and Thomas Tuchel is expected to name the starting lineup that drew against RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga Topspiel on Saturday evening.
Although Manuel Neuer has returned to training, there’s no return date and so Sven Ulreich will remain in goal. Serge Gnabry also suffered a broken forearm in the DFB Pokal last week and isn’t expected to return until after the international break, which means Kingsley Coman will retain his place in Bayern Munich’s lineup.
Matthijs de Ligt is also sidelined and so Tuchel will again opt for Dayot Upamecano and Kim Min-jae in defence, with Konrad Laimer and Alphonso Davies operating as full-backs. Leon Goretzka has impressed since his return to the squad, and should parter Joshua Kimmich with Jamal Musiala operating as the No. 10.
Leroy Sané is in excellent form and has converted all of his five big chances this season, the most of any player across Europe’s top five leagues. Harry Kane will also start in attack. The Englishman is settling into life in Bavaria extremely well with nine goals and four assists in eight games across all competitions this season.
Predicted Bayern Munich XI vs Copenhagen
Sven Ulreich – Konrad Laimer, Dayot Upamecano, Kim Min-jae, Alphonso Davies – Joshua Kimmich, Leon Goretzka – Leroy Sané, Jamal Musiala, Kingsley Coman – Harry Kane.
