What’s the latest news involving Ronaldo?

It is understood that Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has told the hierarchy that Ronaldo should not play for the club again.

The Dutchman’s reaction comes after the striker was involved in an explosive interview with Piers Morgan, where he revealed that he feels betrayed by the Red Devils, who are trying to force him out of the exit door, and the lack of respect he has for ten Hag.

Manchester United are reportedly considering tearing up Ronaldo’s contract after being left incensed by his public comments.

However, in a club statement, the Premier League giants insisted they will only take action ‘after the full facts have been established’.

Romano has previously told GIVEMESPORT that ten Hag is ‘furious’ by Ronaldo’s interview and feels ‘disrespect’ has been shown.

What has Fabrizio Romano said about the situation?

Romano believes Manchester United could take advantage of the interview’s timing by seeking a replacement for Ronaldo during the World Cup.

The respected Italian journalist feels the likes of Jonathan David, who will represent Canada in Qatar, may work their way onto ten Hag’s radar.

Romano told GIVEMESPORT: “I think the positive news for Manchester United is the World Cup.

“The World Cup will bring in new ideas and there could be a new potential domino of strikers on the market. For example, there is a player like Jonathan David, who is appreciated by multiple clubs around Europe.”

Have Manchester United been linked with any strikers involved at the World Cup?

Transfer insider Dean Jones has previously told GIVEMESPORT that Manchester United could make a move for David, who is currently on Lille’s books, if he impresses at the World Cup.

According to the Mirror, Kylian Mbappe has emerged as a shock target after the Red Devils have accelerated their plans to replace Ronaldo.

The report suggests the France international could be offered a contract worth £500,000-per-week at Old Trafford, along with significant performance-related bonuses, while the club are in a position to strike a £150million-plus deal with Paris Saint-Germain.

Ten Hag could also have an eye on how Argentina perform in Qatar as the Red Devils are reportedly in pursuit of Inter Milan’s Lautaro Martinez and have lodged an enquiry.
