Bayern Munich took all three points at the Allianz Arena, as Die Rekordmeister tore Bochum apart. With Bayern struggling to display impressive performances under Thomas Tuchel, Bochum came into this game with hope of upsetting the German champions, but their task would quite quickly be proved unsuccessful.
Die Rekordmeister stormed out of the gates with Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting opening the scoring just four minutes in; finishing off a wonderful free flowing Bayern attack. For Bochum, it would go from bad to worse as less than ten minutes later Alphonso Davies’ mazy run would eventually end up at the feet of Harry Kane. The Englishman would comfortably find the far corner to all but settle the tie.
With Bochum starting to drift into the Bayern half, any hopes of finding a route back into the game were destroyed on the half hour mark. Matthijs de Ligt’s bullet header from a Joshua Kimmich corner meant that it would be damage limitation for the visitors. However, they would be undone by a mesmerising pass by Kane, where Leroy Sané would slot the ball past Manuel Riemann.
After the break, Ivan Ordets would give the ball away before conceding a penalty within the space of five seconds to offer Kane the chance to add a fifth goal from the spot, as Bayern continued their relentless nature. To rub salt into the wounds for Bochum, supersub Mathys Tel would curl a tremendous strike past Riemann before Kane tapped in to complete his hat-trick to make it 7-0, as Bochum’s torture at the hands of Bayern was complete.

Kim Min-jae, 8 – The South Korean defender looks to have settled into the Bayern backline with ease, while establishing himself as Tuchel’s most trustworthy centre-half. Comfortably dealing with Bochum’s breakaways, as well as completing all three long balls attempted, Kim Min-jae looks to be the real deal.
Alphonso Davies, 9 – Key in exploiting Bochum’s narrow set up, Davies’ mazy attacking runs proved too much for the visitor’s backline to handle. Completing seven dribbles, no other player on the pitch could better the Canadian, whose 70 minute cameo was phenomenal.
Konrad Laimer, 8 – Laimer was able to dictate the game alongside Joshua Kimmich in the midfield with his 98% pass accuracy. Proving to be far more effective in midfield then at right-back.

Leroy Sané, 8 – A player who has started the season in the form of his life, there would be little let up at home to Bochum. A constant menace to the Bochum defence, Sané would get a well deserved goal to round off another stellar performance.

Harry Kane, 10 – The saga of the summer has proven to be worth it for those at the Säbener Straße. There are very few strikers in the world that are as creative as they are lethal in front of goal. A true joy to watch.
