Despite not winning Scudetto for almost a decade, Milan have been making strides in Italy for quite some time, thanks to the impressive work done by technical director Paolo Maldini and the sporting director Frederic Massara.
According to a report from La Repubblica, both Paolo Maldini and his right-hand man Fredric Massara have reached an agreement with Elliot Management and the club’s CEO Ivan Gazids over their contract renewal for the Rossoneri.
The former Milan defender’s current contract at Milan will run out on June 30, 2022. However, his future at the club has never been in doubt, with a potential takeover of the club unlikely to pose any hurdle between the two managers and their imminent contract renewal.
The report clarifies that Maldini deserves this extension, considering how hard he has worked to bring Milan back to the pinnacle of Italian football. And Maldini would not have been able to do so without the assistance of Massara. Therefore, he would like to stay in the job alongside Massara.
And under their observation, the Rossoneri are once again close to lifting a coveted Scudetto for the first time since the 2010/11 season. Milan will play against Sassuolo next weekend. Winning that game will make them the 19th-time champions of Italy.
