Former Manchester City defender Nedum Onuoha says he can sense a change in the team after their Champions League triumph over Real Madrid.
City are into the final after last night’s 4-0 rout of the Spanish giants.
Onuoha told BBC Sport: “To see them play like that against Real Madrid, they’ve changed. They were fearless and in the first half, it didn’t seem real. The way City were playing, Madrid were never doing well.
“After 15 minutes Madrid had only made 13 passes. The fans were great and the game meant a lot to all involved. It’s just what they deserve after a performance like that. It’s the totality of it all, everyone pulls their weight.
“Just being the favourite team doesn’t mean you’ll win. The reason they’re favourites is because of how consistent they’ve been. Ultimately you have to be able to do it on the day and we saw a couple of years ago they weren’t able to do it against Chelsea.
“John Stones has been remarkable, he reads the game so well. It’s a great mix and he’s one of the best midfielders we’ve had all season. It shows how strong the team is.”
