Onuoha hails Man City victory over Real Madrid: Among best games I’ve seen

Former Manchester City defender Nedum Onuoha admits he loved last night’s 4-3 Champions League win against Real Madrid.

City now go to Spain defending a 4-3 aggregate lead for the second-leg of the semifinal.

Onuoha said this morning: “I would agree with Richard Dunne (that it was one of the best games I’ve ever seen) especially given the fact that we’re in the sort of funny position where City scored four and people saying well they should have scored more.

“It’s a Champions League semi-final, then the encouragement at times they gave Real Madrid but people who watch Real Madrid in the league this year know that they don’t go away, they never quit.

“Then Benzema stepping up in that moment, it was such an impressive penalty. So it was a fantastic game and the best thing about it is because of that score line, nature of the game and the fact that you know that both teams can do better, you’re thinking what’s next week going to look like and that’s the most exciting thing for neutrals tuning in.”
