In a press release, AS Monaco have officially announced the signing of Thilo Kehrer (27).
The defender will join the club from West Ham United on a loan deal until the end of the season wherein Les Monégasques will have an option to buy.
Kehrer completed his medical yesterday with his new club after Monaco won his signature in a race that also saw OGC Nice and Stade Rennais interested in the German international. It was only a matter of time before this deal became official and the principality revealed their latest signing.

A return to Ligue 1 and perhaps to the Champions League for Kehrer
This marks a return to France for the defender who had previously represented Paris Saint-Germain before joining the Premier League side.
Kehrer had featured prominently in the season prior for The Hammers, a year when the team won their first European trophy, but opportunities had subsequently faded.
With his new team, the defender will be tasked with maintaining the strong start to the season that the Les Monégasques have achieved. The club sit in the podium position and if they can continue their momentum from the previous year then could look to return to Champions League football.
A competition that their new signing has some familiarity with, having featured for PSG in their run to the final in 2020.
