Wolverhampton Wanderers have to improve defensively if they are to stay in the Premier League.
That is the opinion of midfielder Ruben Neves, who spoke after their 3-2 loss to Brighton at the weekend.
Wolves were beaten by the high flying Albion, who are in the top half, which has pushed them down into 19th place in the league.
Speaking to wolves.co.uk after the defeat, Neves stated: “I think there are positives to take, but again we conceded too many goals at home. We conceded two goals when we were playing with the same number of players, because we were too soft again defending. First of all, easy passes inside of our box, second goal we let the cross go in too easily.
“I think we reacted well, we scored two goals, then in the second-half, one man less, really hard against a team like Brighton who want to have the ball all the game. I think we worked really hard, and maybe deserved a little bit more, because we created a few chances as well, playing with one man less, but we need to be better defensively.”
