Speaking in an interview with Sport Bild, via FussballTransfers, Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis revealed that the Serie A leaders have no intention of allowing Victor Osimhen to leave the club in the summer.
“Our players are in high demand,” said Aurelio De Laurentiis. “But I don’t have to sell anyone. We have no debt […]. I don’t think players like [Khvicha] Kvaratskhelia or [Victor] Osimhen will leave in the summer.”
When asked about Bayern Munich’s interest in Osimhen, De Laurentiis added: “He’s not for sale.”
The ex-Wolfsburg and Lille forward has scored 16 and created four in 17 Serie A games for the Partenopei, putting Europe’s elite club on high alert should Osimhen become available. As reported via our colleagues at Get Italian Football News, Manchester United had shown interest in signing the Nigerian last summer.
Bayern Munich’s interest in Osimhen comes following the departure of Robert Lewandowski to Barcelona last summer. Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting has done an excellent job, scoring 13 goals in 20 games this season, but it’s no secret that the Rekordmeister are in the market for a No. 9, with interest also in Harry Kane.
