Napoli coach Rudi Garcia shrugged off the strops of his attacking players after their 0-0 draw with Bologna.
Both Victor Osimhen and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia were visibly unhappy being substituted in the second-half.
Garcia said, “The negative side is the result, the performance was good especially in the first half.
“Natan played a confident game, not conceding a goal with a new defence is always a good thing. If the ball ends up on the post or if we have the penalty and we don’t score it then it becomes difficult to win. That’s football, the team played a serious game. We’re not happy because we lack the goal and the victory. Missed penalties happen to the greatest players, I spoke to (Victor) Osimhen for his substitution but things remain from the locker room.”
“They both did well but we also have a lot of quality from the bench, I still have (Jesper) Lindstrom and when we have a lot of quality it’s not like we play all the games with the same men especially because we play in three days playing four games in nine days. There is the team that starts and the one that continues in the second half, if I don’t count on all the boys we won’t go anywhere.
“It’s better when one comes off and isn’t happy, I may not even be happy with their performance. I have many players and they all have to be used. Do I hug Kvara? I do hug all my players.”
