Roma coach Jose Mourinho defended his players after defeat to Roma.
Adrien Rabiot struck for Juve’s 1-0 win on Saturday.
Mourinho later said: “We talked about this before the game and we created really more than anyone expected against a defensive wall in Turin.
“It was disappointing to go into the break at 0-0, as we had more quality in the first half, hit the post and created three or four really dangerous situations. Dybala and Bove positions were causing them a lot of problems strategically.
“We failed to score, then conceded with an unlucky ricochet straight after the restart, so from then it all becomes more difficult. Juve get even deeper, their defence really is a wall, so tough to get through.
“I am very happy with the way we approached the game strategically, very happy with the character shown by my team, but it’s about points and we didn’t get the result.
“I think people should talk about Roma with respect for all that we are doing. The staff, the players, the work we are doing with the difficulties we have is remarkable.
“I am the first to say we usually lack a bit of character away from home and don’t impose our style of play on the game, but tonight that was not the case. We came here against a team that is challenging for the Scudetto, that was ultra-motivated by Inter’s result yesterday and are incredibly strong defensively, but we played with great courage.
“We had a lot of the ball in their final third, without creating huge opportunities, but Paulo and Bryan had shots that were going on target if not for the blocks.
“Obviously, the result is what matters.”
