Mateja Kezman, the agent for Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, has denied that his client has ever shown an interest in joining Manchester United.
Several Italian media outlets stated that Kezman, a former Chelsea striker, said he was in negotiations with Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain and that Milinkovic-Savic desired a move to Old Trafford.
However, Kezman denied he had ever released the interview. “It’s fake news, I’ve never released interviews lately,” he told Tuttojuve.
“Some journalists are just incredible. I’m very angry. That’s a lack of respect towards myself, Lazio, and Sergej.”
The Serbian midfielder has been the best in Serie A this season, assisting on 20 goals in 34 league appearances.
He has been linked with Juventus, Manchester United, and Paris Saint-Germain, and Lazio’s asking price is between €70 and €80 million.
Milinkovic-Savic‘s contract at the Stadio Olimpico expires in 2024, but he appears set to depart Lazio this summer following his outstanding performances this season under Maurizio Sarri.
The midfielder joined Lazio from Genk for a fee of just €12 million in 2015. He has 57 goals in 291 matches for the Biancocelesti and five in 30 senior international games for Serbia.
