Serie A side Milan are keen on selling winger Junior Messias this summer.
According to a report by Daniele Longo, Junior Messias has another year left on his contract and the Rossoneri have explained clearly to the player that he is on the transfer market.
The Brazilian joined Milan on a year-long loan deal in 2021 from Crotone and his performances were exemplary enough to convince Stefano Pioli to trigger the option to buy clause at the end of the loan stint.
However, the situation is yet to materialise regarding Messias and Torino are the only club to have conducted an initial survey for the player.
Milan has conveyed to the 32-year-old and his agent that even if he decides to stay his final year at the club, his contract won’t be renewed next season. The decision is in the hands of Messias as to whether seek his fortune elsewhere or stay at his present club and see things out.
After the sacking of sporting directors Frederic Massara and Paolo Maldini, CEO Giorgio Furlani and chief scout Geoffrey Moncada are directly dealing with the players to balance their finances.
It is expected that the need to offload Junior Messias comes as a move to provide some financial breathing space in the club and also to aid in their pursuit of Samuel Chukwueze.
