In his pre-match press conference, as Liverpool prepare to face Brentford on Saturday lunchtime, Jurgen Klopp revealed he believes it will be difficult for top clubs to pull off any move for PSG forward Kylian Mbappé (25).
Asked about Mbappé in his press conference, the soon-to-be departing Liverpool manager said, “Obviously, I’m not involved in that, but I can tell you I’d be surprised if all the top clubs were. The top clubs I know, for most of them it will be tricky – wages, signing-on fee…”
These latest quotes about any potential move from the Premier League leaders for the France captain appear to have ruled the possibility of Mbappé playing his football at Anfield next season. Le Parisien have previously reported that the 25-year-old was not indifferent to any interest from Liverpool.
All roads lead to Madrid
With Mbappé telling his PSG teammates that he will leave the club when his contract expires at the end of the season, according to Fabrice Hawkins, the France international forward should now finally sign for Real Madrid. There are few details to iron out in his deal with the La Liga club but an agreement should soon be found to take the former Monaco man to Spain.
