Juventus went top of the table in Serie A today, but Bianconeri boss Max Allegri believes that the players still have some room to improve.
The Old Lady had to wait to seal all three points in Turin today. Moise Kean had two goals disallowed, the first for offside and the second for a foul in the build-up. But Andrea Cambiaso snatched a late goal to seal all three points for Juve, who had 30 attempts on goal and thoroughly deserved the win.
It was Cambiaso’s first goal for the club, as Juve went top of the table. While they could yet slip down to third by the end of affairs tomorrow, but being at the top shows that something is going right at the club.
Max Allegri was asked about the position and he told DAZN (via TMW): “What must continue to reign in this environment is balance, we must be good at managing both victories and defeats. We know we have room for improvement and we must continue to work.”
Allegri also revealed that Timothy picked up a minor injury and that is why Fabio Miretti had come in the second half. He said: “Weah wasn’t feeling so well, he had a slightly stiffer flexor and I preferred to remove him. I also needed a more technical footballer between the lines and Miretti played an excellent game.”
Juve take on Fiorentina next but Allegri will not be on the bench, as he received a late red card against Verona.
