Manchester City and Bayern Munich pushing to sign Warren Zaïre-Emery, who is nearing PSG contract extension

As reported by Sports ZoneManchester City and Bayern Munich are still pushing to sign Warren Zaïre-Emery, however, the France U21 captain is nearing an agreement over a contract extension at Paris Saint-Germain.

Zaïre-Emery broke into the first-team under Christophe Galtier, last season, but has become undroppable under Luis Enrique this season. He became the youngest player in the 21st century to register three assists in the UEFA Champions League, breaking Theo Walcott’s record, thanks to two assists against AC Milan in midweek.

His form has solidified his place in Les Parisiens’ midfield and has also seen him earn the armband at international level. He is highly rated by France U21 manager Thierry Henry, who in CBS Sports Golazo’s coverage of PSG’s victory over AC Milan, said that “the sky is the limit” for the PSG academy product.

Natrually, Les Parisiens are trying to tie Zaïre-Emery down to a new deal, and according to Sports Zone, an agreement in principle between the two parties has even been reached. PSG are reportedly calm about the situation, even though some elements of the deal need to negotiated.

Zaïre-Emery’s current deal expires in 2025 and despite the negotiations over a renewal, Manchester City and Bayern Munich are still pushing to sign the promising French midfielder, who in an interview with Téléfoot in September, alluded to the possibility of spending his whole career at PSG.
