Man Utd winger Chong suffers home invasion; held at knifepoint

Manchester United winger Tahith Chong has been the victim of a home invasion.

The Sun reports masked raiders reportedly burst into Chong’s home and held him at knifepoint while stealing thousands of pounds worth of possessions.

Three balaclava-wearing men broke into the 22-year-old’s house at 3am while he was asleep. They proceeded to hold blades to the Dutch Under-21 player’s throat and shine torches in his eyes as they demanded he hand over jewellery, watches and designer bags.

The Birmingham City loanee was even mocked by the robbers for his lack of security as they continued the ransacking, leaving him “extremely shaken” by the incident.

Police were called afterward and revealed the intruders may have been monitoring his wealth through social media.

A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson confirmed that officers were called to reports of a robbery at an address in Sale. They said: “Inquiries established that three men had entered the property and then threatened the occupant with a knife.

“There were no injuries and no arrests have been made. Anyone with information can report it online at www. Gmp.police.uk.”
