Olympique Lyon striker Moussa Dembele remains a target for Manchester United.
The Manchester Evening News says United are considering a move for the Frenchman before the transfer window shuts and are in contact with the player’s representatives.
Dembele has just one-year remaining on his contract at Lyon, with multiple European clubs on high alert ahead of a potential free transfer next summer.
The Frenchman scored 22 goals in 36 appearances for Lyon last season, yet Les Gones failed to qualify for European football as they stuttered to an eight placed Ligue 1 finish.
Dembele has fallen down the pecking order at the Groupama Stadium following the arrival of former Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette.
