Olympic Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has said the club ‘will do their best’ to sign Arsenal striker Alexandre-Lacazette at the end of the season.
The French club sold the striker to the Gunners in a £53million move in 2017, and are interested in re-signing him once more.
They reportedly came close to signing him last month, but the deal fell through as the Gunners were not ready to let both Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang leave in the same window with no replacement.
Lizette is out of contract at the end of the season, and both parties seem to be in agreement that there will not be a contract extension.

The 30-year-old has scored 70 goals in 192 appearances at Emirates Stadium, with five of those coming in the last 22 games.
Laca came through the ranks at the French club and is fourth on the all-time top scorers’ chart with 129 goals in 275 games.
