Lucas Torreira’s agent has revealed that while Galatasaray haven’t put the player up for sale, he will speak to Lazio about their offer next week.
It was recently reported that Lazio have already made contact with Gala and have spoken to them regularly over the last few days. Maurizio Sarri is keen on making sure that they sign the Uruguayan this summer.
Torreira’s agent Pablo Bentancur spoke to LaLazioSiamoNoi and he gave some updates about his client’s situation, stating that the Uruguayan isn’t currently up for sale.
Bentancur said: “I have to be honest.I have an official meeting with them to hear their proposal. They play in the Champions League, and Lucas has always loved Italy. However, I must be very clear. He is not for sale, but “Business is business, and players are players. We have this appointment and we will go. With respect for the great club that is Lazio and to hear what they want to propose.”
Torreira is said to be a player that Sarri rates highly and is desperate to have him in his side next season, with other names also on the shortlist.
If the move does go through, Torreira will return from Turkey after one just season and it will be his third team in Italy, having plied his trade with Sampdoria and Fiorentina in the past. While his move to Arsenal didn’t quite work out, he has witnessed a resurgence since then, impressing at La Viola.
