Leeds United and Liverpool scouts were watching Birmingham City play on Saturday.
The Midlands club earned a 1-0 win over Blackburn Rovers in the Championship.
Scouts were there to see 18-year-old George Hall put in a match-winning performance.
Birmingham boss John Eustace was full of praise for the teenager post-game, telling reporters: “George Hall was awesome. I went and watched Hall play for England on Tuesday (against Turkey) and he was the stand-out performer, but we have got three of four outstanding 18-year-olds here at Birmingham and unfortunately for me, they all play in the same position so it’s difficult to give them the minutes they want.
“Again, we have George Hall, we have Jobe Bellingham, young JJ (Jordan James). The most important thing is that we develop them in the right way and give them the right minutes at the right time, which I feel is correct and I think throughout the season, all three are developing fantastically well.
“It’s about developing and you have to remember that they are 17 and 18, these players are very young and they have all had good minutes up to now. Going into next season they are all going to be better and much stronger for it and you it’s important that I keep developing them in the way I feel, and the way which I feel has been spot on up until now.”
