Kylian Mbappé (25) was a guest at a gala, hosted by Emmanuel Macron at the Élysée presidential palace on Tuesday. According to RMC Sport, the Frenchman has rejected reports that he has already agreed to join Real Madrid.
The France captain informed Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi that he would leave the club upon the export of his contract at the end of the season. This was a prerequisite to agreeing to join another club. It is expected that he will join Real Madrid, just two years after rejecting Los Blancos, with La Liga president Javier Tebas telling L’Équipe that he is “99% sure” that the deal will be completed.

However, if the deal is already agreed, Mbappé, Real Madrid and PSG are keeping it a secret… at least for now. According to RMC Sport, Mbappé’s future was a topic of conversation at the gala, attended not only by Macron but also by PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi and the Emir of Qatar. The AS Monaco academy product reportedly told fellow guests that he is yet to agree a deal.
However, with Mbappé’s departure from Les Parisiens already confirmed, the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, wished the Frenchman “good luck” in a brief exchange, broadcast by RMC Sport.
