Kylian Mbappe was at his brilliant best as France beat Denmark in their World Cup clash on Saturday afternoon.
France were looking to make it two wins from two after seeing off Australia in their opening game.
And they did just that thanks to an inspired performance from the world’s best player at the moment, Mbappe.
The PSG forward scored both of France’s goals as they battled to a 2-1 victory.
The opening 45 minutes was a drab affair with chances few and far between and neither side able to break the deadlock.
But proceedings brightened up considerably in the second half as Mbappe made his mark.
The 23-year-old opened the scoring in the 61st minute as he turned home Theo Hernandez’s cut-back.

Denmark rallied and drew level when Andreas Christensen netted shortly after.
Joachim Andersen flicked on Christian Eriksen’s corner and the Barcelona defender planted his header past Hugo Lloris.
But Mbappe was determined to come away on the winning side and he earned Les Bleus all three points with four minutes remaining.
Antoine Griezmann swung a ball into the box and Mbappe converted from close range to give his side the lead once more.

Mbappe is just 23 years old but has already scored seven goals in the World Cup finals. He is just nine goals away from matching Miroslav Klose’s record.
It is looking increasingly likely that Mbappe will usurp the German icon’s tally in the future.
France held on and have now booked their place in the last 16 of the competition.
A draw or better in their final group game against Tunisia will see them top the group.

They will play one of Argentina, Mexico, Poland or Saudi Arabia in the first knockout round.
With the incredible Mbappe in attack, the reigning world champions are going to take some stopping as they look to retain their crown.
