Juventus are reportedly concerned about their defensive department amid injuries and uncertainties over the futures of several defenders. Evan Ndicka appears to be an intriguing transfer target for Bianconeri.
According to Italian journalist Daniele Longo, Juventus have made the first contact for Ndicka. A centre-back by trade, the Frenchman will see his contract with Eintracht Frankfurt expire in June 2023, meaning that he will be free to leave the German club next summer.
The player has not agreed to an extension, and the reports suggest that he doesn’t wish to continue at the Bundesliga club. As such, he will be open to signing a pre-contract with his next club in January. While an operation from that end looks easy for Juve, several Premier League clubs have been keenly monitoring the situation.
The competition will be intense for the 23-year-old’s signing in the coming months. And if Federico Cherubini does fail to land Ndicka, Juve will have to turn their eyes toward alternatives.
Monaco’s Benoît Badiashile and Fiorentina’s Igor have been identified as the two alternatives to Ndicka. Juventus will understandably sanction a transfer for Badiashile if certain conditions are met. On the other hand, Igor currently remains more of a hypothesis for the Piedmontese side.
