Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot was pleased with his brace in their Champions League win against Maccabi Haifa.
Rabiot was impressive for the 3-1 win.
He later said: “The goals I scored are very important and make me very happy, especially because it is more difficult to do it in the Champions League. We could have scored more goals, but the performance was good. We suffered at the end, they pushed a lot. We have to work on this and fix some things in defence. We can also defend low, but we have to do it better.
“We needed these victories. I have always said that, even if I like to score, it doesn’t matter who does it. Tonight it was my turn and I’m happy. Di María did very well, we needed a player like that, who can make assists with his great left foot.”
Fellow goalscorer Dusan Vlahovic added: “I could have done more with all the balls they gave me, I could have done better and I’m not satisfied. The important thing was to win and we must continue to work with our heads down and in silence.
“Attackers live for scoring goals, it’s the most important thing for us but I am focused on winning with the team. If I can help, the rest comes as a consequence. I have to be more calm and concentrated, I had to make better use of the opportunities I had. Di María? I am honored to play with him, to be able to learn from him.”
