Jose Luis Morales is delighted with his move to Villarreal.
The veteran midfielder left relegated Levante for the Yellow Submarine.
Morales said, “You never expect that a club like Villarreal or another club that fights for European zones can call you.
“I wanted the commotion that was formed with my departure not to be formed. But the negotiations were very calm, the club suited me because I didn’t have to move from my house. It’s a nice challenge and I’m going to fight to help the team.
“I have been very important at Levante for many years. You like to have new challenges and see how far you can go. There are very good players here that I’m going to learn from and see the level I can show at Villarreal.
“On a professional level, being 35 years old that I will be shortly, in a team that is at this level, you could say that I am at my best. I started later in professional football. This opportunity has come to me a little older but things come when they come and you have to take advantage of it.”
