In an interview with Téléfoot, Kylian Mbappé (24) was asked about his future with Paris Saint-Germain amid rumours of a potential summer move to Real Madrid swirling. The France captain’s future is a topic that continues to consume not just French football but the world as fans are left wondering where Mbappé will be in the summer of 2024. The PSG attacker’s contract at the Parc des Princes expires in 2024, but he has the option of a one-year extension.
Mbappé previously spoke about his future in June as he informed PSG that he would not be exercising the option to extend his contract with the club by a further year until 2025. Reports since have linked the 24-year-old with Real Madrid and Liverpool, but have also stated that a contract extension with Les Parisiens is still possible.
When asked by Téléfoot about his future, the French attacker said “It’s something I don’t want to talk about, especially since I already did it in June and it took up a big part of the selection.” Mbappé then added, “I want us to talk more about the national team, rather than me talking about something that will be resolved one day, so there will be time to talk about that.”
Mbappé’s future has been a major talking point during the international break and the forward remains coy on the subject. However, the former Monaco attacker has not let the speculation impact his performances on the pitch though, after scoring a hat-trick and assisting a further two goals in Les Bleus’ record-breaking 14-0 victory against Gibraltar.
